Welcome To Animal Magic
This website is dedicated to the welfare and care of domesticated animals and the protection of all animals. If you have any concerns or would like to report animal cruelty, please contact the RSPCA or Scottish SPCA (See 'Animal Sites', left.)
Remember, it's better to adopt rather than to actually buy.
Adopting an unwanted animal ensures it will be given the love, care and attention it needs. Most rescue centres will allow you to bring the animal back for clipping nails, worming, treatment (depending on the animal of course) and with rescues you will get the animal's background. Things like it's temperment, personality, advice on what to feed and what not to feed, bedding (if it's a small animal) and if it's toilet trained.
Buying from a breeder can tell you these things but most breeders will not allow you to bring the animal back for any reason. Buying from a breeder or pet shop means that an unwanted rescue animal has lost the opportunity to go to a loving forever home. If you were to give an animal you no longer can care for or have found abandoned/injured to a rescue, you can be sure that it will go to a very good home as rescues generally do home checks. Please use the links for a list of rescues (more to be added).
